Do not attempt this if you suffer from Acrophobia

Acrophobia is the extreme or irrational fear of heights which manifests itself even when one is not particularly high up. Often mistakenly called vertigo, this condition relates to spinning sensation when one is not spinning. All of these situation would prompt an immediate and overwhelming bout of acrophobia.

Beneath this steel and glass walkway over the abyss, there is a straight 700 foot drop to the Grand Canyon below. Those afflicted with acrophobia should never gaze at their feet, as the view of the canyon floor could cause convulsions. The Grand Canyon Skywalk is owned and operated by the Hualapai Indian tribe.

The Langkawi Sky Bridge in Malaysia

This skybridge crosses over the picturesque peak of Gunung Mat Chinchang, a mountain on the island of Pulau Langkawi in Malaysia. Avoid windy days as it might start swaying.

 Walk of Faith, China

Built onto the side of the 4700 foot tall Zhangjiajie Tianmen mountain, the Walk of Faith is a glass walkway  that will test your ability not to succumb to acrophobia. The journey up to the skywalk is by cable car.

 Alpspix Viewing Platform in Germany

Another short bridge to nowhere but it certainly offers incredible views of the valley below. It is approximately 325 feet up the Alpspix mountain. Beneath the bridge floor there is again the mandatory sheer drop.

 Trolltunga Cliff in Norway

Certainly not for the unfit or faint-hearted. After a challenging climb one reaches the natural platform that it is the Trolltunga which hovers 2,300 feet above lake Ringedalsvatnet. One is rewarded with spectacular views of the mountainside.

The Dachstein Stairway in Austria

One of the highest bridges in the world is Dachstein Stairway in Austria. It is located at the Dachstein Glacier resort in the Alps.  The drop to the bottom of the mountains is a terrifying 1300 feet which is sufficient to get certain people writhing in fear.
