With all the profligate wastage of money by the government that is coming to light at Zondo, it’s worthwhile revisiting what Nkandla cost.

It was yet again brought to my attention when I saw that the Transnet National Ports Authority building has just been completed at the Port of Ngqura near PE for R255mil.

When I see a number like that, I automatically think back to Nkandla which cost about the same.  Ten years on, that cost would be about R450mil inflating at 6%pa.  Apart from Zuma illegally benefiting, I want to cry at the hugely inflated cost, probably in the region of a factor 10 even taking the remoteness of the site into consideration.  

Outside of Zuma, there was talk of suing the architect but, 10 years on, no one is even close to seeing his day in court although it is as plain as day that there must have been rampant corruption.
